5 Date Ideas That Don’t Involve Alcohol

Ditch the booze. There’s nothing more unattractive than getting drunk on a date. I’d know. I’m allergic to alcohol (seriously) and once in awhile I like to test the boundaries and drink a little bit – with regret the next day. Fun without the liquid courage can be had and let’s face it, whilst drinking can make you feel at ease on the first couple of dates, it isn’t going to get you through your whole relationship so start one without it. Here are 5 date ideas that don’t involve alcohol.
A Deluxe Evening Picnic
On the beach or in a park, picnics are a great day date. If you want to pull out ‘the works’ and channel your inner child, these extra large tee pees create ambiance for an evening picnic. They are quick and easy to assemble. How fun!
Plain Calico XL tee pee is $199. XL Lace Tee Pee is $279. Lights are $25.

Paddle Boarding
For the sporty types, get to know each other with paddle boarding. I like this because it’s fun yet isn’t so extreme that you can’t have a conversation. It’s also a great ab workout. Luna Park
I would suggest a theme park here but seeing that I live in city and there are none, Luna Park is the next best thing. This iconic theme park is rooted in history and a ferris wheel that boasts one of the best views of Sydney.
Go any off-peak Friday or Saturday night after 6pm, buy yourself an Unlimited Rides Pass and get a second one free.

The Coastal Walk
A beautiful walk from Coogee to Bondi Beach has got to be one of the best ways to spend a weekend afternoon. Pack a drink bottle and go. Stop in between Bronte and Tamarama where dolphins are always spotted riding the waves.
Moonlight Cinemas
Outdoor cinemas take the cliche out of the dinner and movie date. There’s nothing like fresh air, fairy lights and watching a flick on the big screen. Take the opportunity whilst you can, outdoor cinemas are seasonal and tickets sell out quick! Show off your culinary skills and pack your own picnic basket.
