50 Shades of Grey Movie Review
So IMBD rated 50 Shades of Grey a 3.4/10. Not that I take the site seriously anyway because ‘How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days’ got a 4/10 and I love that movie. I’ve yet to see the movie but for a book with so much hype and budget, I expected better reviews. I’ll have to see for myself but so far, it’s not looking good. Reviews below from a few of us:
Prue: He flipped her over and everyone laughed out loud. It’s S&M – meant to be erotic and sexy. So you can imagine how bad the acting was. Bad cast or bad plot? I’m not sure…
Mark: I just watched 50 Shades of Grey: The plot was akin to the incoherent journal entry ramblings of a 14 year old girl who has mistaken the attentions of an older man who’s too much into Japanese porn as signs of affection when all this could have been solved by purchasing a puppy.
Amy: Read the book and hated it. I thought ‘Ana’ was insecure and naive, like all the other ‘fairy tales’ we read about only with sex toys and abuse for pleasure. I thought if they turned it into a movie, it’d at least be entertaining. But nope – poorly written and poorly scripted.
