Love Advice From Our Celeb Favourites

Recently Rescu wrote a piece on beauty advice from timeless beauty icons. If they had such sage advice about beauty, I wondered if this would translate into their advice on love. Here are few of our favourites and what we thought of them.

THE BEST OF THE BEAUTIES:

1. “They say love is best investment; the more you give, the more you get in return.” – Audrey Hepburn 

(Good point. There are good and bad investments out there.) 

2. “All a girl really wants is for one guy to prove to her that they are not all the same” – Marilyn Monroe 

(We have to disagree with Marilyn on this one. The advice make guys to be assholes. Some are but most are not….) 

3. “When I love I do it without counting. I give myself entirely. And each time it is the grand love of my life” – Bridget Bardot 

(Bridget Bardot didn’t have a lot of relationship advice. This was one of few quotes we could find and we’re glad we did. She puts it simply – go big or go home.)

4.“A woman who does not love the shortcomings of her man does not love him either” – Sophia Loren 

(We love this for its honesty. Whether it’s his/her tendency to eat oranges in bed or his/her obsession with orgami, love them for the flaws n all)

FROM THE MEN WE LOVE

1. “If she’s amazing, she won’t be easy. If she’s easy, she won’t be amazing. If she’s worth it she won’t give up. If you give up, you’re not worthy. Truth is everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for.” – Bob Marley

(If he likes you enough, he’ll put in the effort ladies)

2. “If you love two people at the same time, choose the second one, because if you really loved the first one you wouldn’t have fallen for the second.” – Johnny Depp

(Exhibit A: The love triangle that was Angelina, Jen and Brad)

3. “And then I realised one thing: The woman is the reflection of her man; and the man of her woman. If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it, as will you.” – Brad Pitt

(This one took a bit more time to digest and sounds a bit extreme…but dare we disagree with Brad Pitt?)

4.“You don’t really know how beautiful a girl is until you meet her. All her beauty is in her personality. – Zac Efron

(Ok. Given his age. We’re not sure if he is credible or had enough life experience to give sage advice but the guy has a point. It does go beyond skin deep.)
