Date Night Hair Idea- The Low Bun How-To
Iona is a Wellness Coach specialising in relationships and dating.…
I’m victim of a rut when it comes to my hair. Most of the time you’ll see me in straight hair or GHD waves…all pretty boring stuff. And so when the folks at Toni & Guy got in touch with this very easy how-to low bun, I had to share. Because sometimes you need a date night hair idea. You need a few handy tools but this look is easier to get than it looks. You may be thinking that it is a bit messy but the goal is to aim for effortlessly undone – like the no make up look which fools everyone.
Inspiration from Vivienne Westwood Red Label AW14 show at London Fashion week.

STEP 1: Comb through hair using a wide tooth comb. Tip: ALWAYS use a wide tooth comb to brush wet hair. Anything else will weaken your tresses.
Spritz the Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Prep Heat Protection Mist to your ends. I try to avoid putting product anywhere near my roots. The heat damage doesn’t happen at the roots…they are called split ends for a reason.
STEP 2: Now that your hair is nicely protected, blow dry hair with bursts of high heat. Some experts recommend blasting cold air post drying your hair with high heat but I don’t really notice a difference in doing this to be honest. Placebo effect maybe?
STEP 3: Spritz the Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Glamour 3D Volumiser into hair and put it into a pony tail.
STEP 4: Section ponytail into small sections and curl each piece with a 1 inch curling iron.
Tip: To prevent those awkward folds from the curling iron, wrap hair around the tong and hold in place for 10 seconds. Pin the curl in place and repeat until the entire ponytail is done.
STEP 4: Brush curls out. Spritz the Hair Meet Wardrobe Firm Hold Hairspray.
NOTE: This range smells amazing – very salon like.
