Online Dating App for Double Dates
There’s nothing more daunting than a blind date with a guy/girl you just met online because a) there are plenty of weirdos out there b) Tinder dates are kind of a hit or miss c) you hate awkwardness. If you love dating alongside a wingman then this new dating app might be for you. Double is like Tinder except you have a joint account with a friend. It’s online double dating.
Just like Tinder, Double will link with the user’s Facebook profile where they can invite friends to pair up with them and become their ‘Doubler’. Users will then see the joint profiles of other ‘Doublers’ nearby and can swipe right if they like what they see or left if not.
Double cofounder, Gary MacDonough, said “The dating world can be tricky and stressful place, especially first dates. With Double we want to make dating more fun and less awkward. We feel that double dates allow people to be more confident and relaxed as each person has the support of a friend so people worry less about awkward moments and are more natural. With Double we aim to bring that experience to mobile location based dating.”
Double will launch in Autumn 2014 and will be available as a free download from the Apple App Store.
