9 Things a Good Man Will Do

They may be harder to come by but good men still exist. So elusive are they that you may not even recognise you’ve found a keeper. How do you know you’ve found a goodie? Here are 9 things a good man does.
1. He Respects You
It doesn’t matter if 1,3,10 dates have passed, a good one will never pressure you into sex on the first date or make you feel bad about not putting out. If a guy is telling you that you’re a prude or that you’re not meeting his needs, he’s probably not one for you.
2. He Apologises and Means it
He may not always say the right things or he might act in ways that drive you insanely mad but he’ll apologise when he knows he’s in the wrong. And he’ll mean it. His apologies will always be sincere.
3. He Makes You a Priority
It doesn’t matter how busy he is. He’ll take the time to let you know he cares or that he’s thinking about you – even if it means just take a minute out of the day to text you. Everyone has a minute. Don’t settle for a guy who can’t spare it for you.
He may have a job, team sport, kids from a previous marriage competing for his time but he’ll make it a priority to spend time with you.
4. He Communicates
If he’s angry with you, you’ll know it. If he’s annoyed you haven’t put the bath mat up to dry, you’ll know it. If he needs your attention, you’ll also know it. He may not always be the most articulate but a good man will try his best to communicate his feelings.
5. He is Honest
If a top isn’t as flattering as it should be or if you have morning breath, this guy will tell you. His honesty is almost to his detriment but you can trust he won’t lie. He may not always tell you in the most tactful way but his intentions are good.
6. He Values You Beyond Your Looks
A good man won’t just compliment you on the way you look, he’ll value your personality and your quirkiness…like how you like the colour yellow but only in a very specific shade.
7. He’s Kind to Strangers
If you want to know how a man will treat you when the honeymoon phase is over, pay attention to how he treats strangers. A good man will show everyone courtesy and respect. How he treats strangers can tell a lot about people – pay attention.
8. He Joins You When You’re Being Silly
You know – when you’ve had too much sugar or are just hyper in general. He doesn’t look at you like you’re a crazy person. He’ll either grin or join you.
9. He’ll Make Compromises…Even If It’s Inconvenient
He may not enjoy doing it but if it means a lot to you, he will. And he won’t make you feel like you ‘owe’ him one.
So if your man does all of the above, hang on tight. And if you’re looking, know the good ones still exist – regardless of your age.

100% agree with all 9 points. I never even noticed most of these specific things were missing in relationships that didn’t work but having finally found my one and only, it sounds like you’re describing him specifically ♡♡♡
