Easy to Use Everyday Makeup

The average beauty ad says – ‘Here – wear this lipstick and you’ll look like Kate Upton’ but the best makeup products in my opinion are the ones that don’t spend millions of dollars on advertising. Since I’ve started writing for Stylehunter.com, I’ve neglected the beauty pages a bit but I’m back and back with my latest finds. These are my everyday go-tos, makeup that helps me get ready in 7 minutes- yep, 7 minutes! I get ready faster than my boyfriend does. =)
1. Mascara Terrybly – By Terry
After months of eyelash extensions, I’ve switched back to using mascara. But if you do have eyelash extensions and need a bit of definition between in fills, this mascara will do the job. It’s water based and thickens more than it lengthens. What sold me was the growth boosting formula, which is meant to activate lash growth. It doesn’t smudge and comes off with water.
2. Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil – Arch
You could never tell from the packaging that this product is vegan but it’s also synthetic dye, sulfate, phthalate and fragrance free. This brow pencil combines powder and wax into an easy applicator. What I love about it is that the pen is angled to the shape of your brow so the colour is evenly applied.
3. Ilia Liptick in Funnel of Love
I’m always in search of the perfect nude lipstick and this one is my new favourite. It’s made with organic ingredients but you’d never know it by its packaging. The colour stays on but if you’re eating, you’ll need to reapply. It’s a moisturising formula but I’d still layer with a Burt’s Bees lip balm underneath.
4. By Terry Hyaluronic Sheer Nude Lipstick in Innocent Kiss
This is a moisturising formula and perfect for those who hate reapplying lipstick. It gives a sheer tint of colour that stay put fairly well. It’s a bit exy so I’d only recommend this if you absolutely love the colour.
How to Find Makeup That’s Easy to Use
- Avoid buying liquid makeup if you can, they’re tricky to travel with
- Look for easy applicators. I love Benefit’s Browzing but that kit comes with a separate brow wax and powder, that’s an extra step in the morning routine
- Palettes are your friend – they are easy to pack and travel with, great if you’re always shuttling back and forth
- Go for universal colours – that way you don’t have the hassle of swapping lipsticks with every outfit change
- Look for products with multiple benefits – I like the Terry mascara because it’s makeup and skincare
