Divorce Party Ideas to Celebrate Breakups

The d-word used to be a dirty word but more and more singles are celebrating divorce as a new chapter in their lives.
If you’re going through a divorce or helping a friend get through it, we’ve got you. Here are a few ideas to get the party started.
Girls gone wild
Nothing screams freedom and fun like a girls trip. If you have the resources and time off, now is the perfect time to book a holiday somewhere far and exotic. There are amazing deals right now for all-inclusive holidays and due to covid, a lot of resorts have renovated or changed up their offering (for the better).
New life. New looks
There’s something so refreshing about a new haircut and some fresh outfits. If you’re celebrating and your divorce just got settled, grab a few girlfriends and go shopping. Spend some cash. You don’t necessarily have to buy something new. If you’re strapped for cash or would prefer to put the money away, you can host a swap party. Invite your friends over and ask them to bring some items of clothing they’d like to swap.
Garage Sale Party
You may have a thing or two that reminds you of your ex, that’s totally fine. Sell it. Host a garage party with drinks and invite your friends. Display all your unwanted things and let them find new homes.
Party Games
When it comes to divorce party games, think of your typical hens games ideas and then put a spin on it. Here are some ideas:
- Pin the tail on the ex
- Heartbreak piñata
- Build your dream man
